Holy Huddles: What is it about?

It is a tale, a yarn, a story: about rum goings-on, in Nottingham, in the late 1990s:

A woman drowns near Attenborough. Is Freemasonry involved?

An Asian taxi driver is killed in the Meadows District.

Turmoil in the Church of England is linked to the Alpha Course and a new charismatic preacher.

Staff in Higher Education are involved.

Bosses in the building industry are linked with corruption at the Coal Board, blackmail, and intimidation, sex, and adultery.

Can the Police find answers?

Holy Huddles is a holiday or bedtime read, intended to entertain, and to make people think about real issues.

Two fictional churches and one fictional university have been created in Nottingham. All characters and events are fictional, and the Alpha course is described as it was in the 1990s.

Holy Huddles is one of two novels by the author that deal with the interface between the Church of England and our multi-cultural society. The other novel is A Kiss and a Prayer, which is being republished as an e-book. (A Kiss and a Prayer is set ten years on from Holy Huddles and gives an alternative slant on related issues. Both novels introduce priests who have human weaknesses.)
